Marketing and branding for home retailer Homebase.
Print design for direct marketing and advertising
Between December 2012 and April 2013 I freelanced with the Brand Design Team at Homebase. I was hired to work on a new Advertising and Direct Marketing campaign for the local communications teams.
The existing design concepts and templates had become complex with different designers adding their own elements over time. There was a strong need to simplify the creative and design a series of new templates. The concepts needed to be on brand but elegant, clear, bold, inspiring and easy to use.
Key design responsibilities included: Creating concepts for local marketing advertising campaigns to support the launch of redesigned stores across the UK. Selecting and cropping inspirational product photography. Typesetting copy lines. Designing new lockup devices for logo and strapline copy.
Visualising “the concept” across a wide variety of examples including:
– Outdoor posters, 48 sheet, 6 sheet and ad van
– Newsprint halfpage, strip adverts
– Direct mail, A5 and A4 flyers / door drops
– ATM transaction adverts
– Spotify adverts
– Digital banner adverts, leaderboard, skyscraper and rectangle
Outdoor A0 printed posters.
